Anaemia in pregnancy: Sharifa’s story

In sub-Saharan Africa, half of all pregnant women are anaemic. The WOMAN-2 Trial showed that women with moderate and severe anaemia are substantially more likely to suffer life-threatening bleeding after childbirth. This is the story of Sharifa from Tanzania, and her experience of anaemia and taking iron supplements.
